This week, his tutor—who has been supporting his transition—shared some wonderful feedback following a recent session:
❝ Karim was very engaged, playing with bubbles, exploring sand and the sensory bucket – it's one of the best sessions we've had. The staff were brilliant, offering lots of encouragement, and he really seemed to enjoy this. He even started using his words to express his needs. Super proud! ❞
Over the past few weeks, the team has been focused on helping Karim feel comfortable and at ease in his new home—taking time to understand what he enjoys, building trust at his pace, and introducing activities in a way that feels safe and familiar to him. It’s been a gradual process, with lots of patience, consistency, and encouragement along the way.
It’s fantastic to now see Karim so engaged and enjoying new experiences, and even more exciting to see his confidence and communication growing. Moments like these show that the small, thoughtful steps being taken each day are starting to make a real difference.
