We are proud to introduce Blossom House and Flourish House, two newly opened specialist children’s homes, created to offer young people aged 10–18 with learning disabilities and/or autism a nurturing, inclusive, and life-enriching environment.
Both homes are part of Fosse Children’s Services and share a consistent ethos: to provide a safe, nurturing homely environment that is person centred and offers each young person the opportunity to grow and develop, through increased community presence and participation.
Each young person has a bespoke care plan, which begins with what is important to them, building on their strengths and those of their families and people within their circle of trust. Co-production and progression is at the very core of the care and support we deliver. We work in partnership with the young person, family, advocate, and any other relevant individuals to co-produce person-centred support plans that are outcome focused and developed with care and understanding for the needs of the young person.
The ethos across both homes is to deliver a fully individualised approach, from routines and personal care, to dietary needs, cultural preferences, and professional support. Every element of the care package is tailored to the individual.
Our care teams are trained in attachment-focused and trauma-responsive practice, working in partnership with Hannah Simnett at Connection Counts. Hannah, the founder of the award-winning charity Cherished, has helped develop a bespoke training package that ensures every child we support feels safe, seen, soothed, and secure.
